"To the clever men" by Yosano Aikiko
Abstract
This article presents the Italian translation of an essay among the rich and interesting production of Yosano Akiko (1878-1942), best known as a poetess and scholar, but whose work as an essayist deserves probably great attention, and translated a very complete essay of hers about female condition in Taishō period (1912-1926) and the ways to change it.
The translation is based upon the text published in Tekkan Akiko zenshū (“Opere complete di Tekkan e Akiko”), Tōkyō: Bensei shuppan: 2006, vol. 20: 323-330.
