Los valores del diminutivo '-illo' en el proceso de lexicalización

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las palabras derivadas con el sufijo ‘-illo’ que se han lexicalizado y que han pasado a formar parte de los repertorios léxicos del español como entradas independientes. Para ello analizaremos el mayor o menor grado de aproximación al valor diminutivo de las lexicalizaciones y los mecanismos mentales, como la metáfora, que pueden haber surgido a partir de las bases correspondientes creando nuevos matices o significados. Al mismo tiempo, observaremos si la presencia eventual de diferentes sentidos y acepciones dentro de un mismo lema representa una unidad conceptual o si, por lo contrario, se da una polisemia inorgánica. Por último, comentaremos los casos en los que las formas lexicalizadas con el sufijo en cuestión constituyen el núcleo de una unidad fraseológica, una forma especial de fijación léxica del diminutivo.

The aim of this paper is to analyse the derived words with the suffix -illo that have been lexicalised and have become part of the lexical registers of Spanish as independent entries. In order to get this goal, I will analyse the greater or lesser degree of approach to the diminutive value of the lexicalisations and the mental mechanisms, such as metaphor, which may have arisen from the corresponding bases, creating new nuances or meanings. At the same time, I will observe whether the eventual presence of different senses and meanings within the same lemma represents a conceptual unity or whether, on the contrary, there is an inorganic polysemy. Finally, I will comment on cases in which the lexicalised forms with the suffix in question constitute the nucleus of a phraseological unit, a special form of lexical fixation of the diminutive.
