Cooperazione allo sviluppo, paesi a reddito medio-alto e politiche sociali: caso Colombia

  • Carlo Tassara

Abstract

Development co-operation with Upper-Middle Income Countries (UMIC) recognizes an increasing importance in supporting the formulation and implementation of social policies, and more generally in strengthening local capacities. The new international context, characterized by the exponential increase of the UMIC and by a greater balance between the countries of the North and of the South, in fact, has created favourable conditions for boosting co-operation between equals, based on networking and sharing of good practices and successful experiences. In this regard, the co-operation of the European Union with the Latin American countries takes on a paradigmatic dimension.
