Abstract

The aging of the population and the increase in chronic and degenerative diseases, combined with the emphasis on patient empowerment, will make it necessary to identify patient experience metrics even more important. PREMs and PROMs represent tools that measure the patient's experience in
research and development processes and in care plan. The need to identify the international evidence of the patient's and caregiver's experiential knowledge
has made it possible to define some metrics already in use in clinical practice
